As Christmas holidays are already here, most of us are about to accompany their Christmas dinner with a good wine. Here is a list with the best Greek wines to give you some ideas about this special night: 

1. Boutari Grande Reserve 2003. Producer:

Boutari. Grape: Xinomavro 100%. 
Review: Deep red color ,notes of tomatoe forest fruits,tabacco and spices.
Good to age for at least 5 years.









2. Gerovassiliou Avaton 2005.
 Producer: Gerovassiliou. 
Grape: Limnio - Mavroudi - Mavrotragano. 
Review: Dark color ,notes of honey ,vanilla and sweet spices. Full body wine and well balanced. Good to age for 5+











3. Kir Yianni Ramnista 2004. 
Producer: Kir Yianni. Grape: Xinomavro 100%. 
Review: Deep red color,strong aftertaste and aromas of strewberry ,tomatoe and vanilla.
 Good to age 7+ years.










4. Sigalas Mavrotragano 2006. 
Producer: Domaine Sigalas. Grape: Mavrotragano 100%. 
Review: Complex aromas of spices ,vanilla and red fruits.The structure is solid with a long aftertaste.
Ages well +7 years.












5. Nico Lazaridi Magic Mountain 2000. 
Producer: Nico Lazaridi. Grape: Cab.Sauvignon, Cab.Franc. 
Review: Intense, velvety, deep red colour, aromas reminiscent of red forest fruit in a perfect combination with spices & aromas of the barrel.










6. Estate Argyros Vinsanto 1989. It was rated "The Top Greek wine for 2009" by Greek wine portal GWP. 
Producer; Alppha Estate. Grape: Syrah 60%, Xinomavro 20%, Merlot 20%. Review: Bright, deep ruby colour with purple hints. Rich and intricate bouquet, earthy, dominated by leather and cherry brandy aromas, with a peppery and plumy background.











7. Gaia Estate Assyrtiko 2008. 
Producer: Gaia Estate. Grape: Assyrtiko.
 Review: This unique wine fermented with only natural yeast found in the wine its self gives an amazing result. 100% Assyrtiko but quite differed from what you have tried before










8. Alpha Estate red 2005. Alpha Estate. Grape: Syrah 60%, Xinomavro 20%, Merlot 20%. Review: Bright, deep ruby colour with purple hints. Rich and intricate bouquet, earthy, dominated by leather and cherry brandy aromas, with a peppery and plumy background.

TRUE STORY..OH BOY!

Once upon a time a little girl was born. It was beautiful, lucky, smart and funny. It was the perfect soul uphealer, a family blessing and at the same time the busybody and the helter-skelter among her sisters and her brother.  As she grew up apart from her beauty she became one of the best and smartest student. At the age of 10, she was very attractive by the opposite gender and all the boys inside the class was in love with her. She used to be the most popular girl in the class since she became president at the students elections. When the little glory at the age of 10 came to surface she was proposed by a little and smart boy to become his girlfriend.









During the parties that were organized during the class year she used to dance unstoppable with the cutest outfit of all. At home, she used to change clothes every five minutes to find the best outfit for the specific occasion. She was the happiest kid of all and she wasn't in need of something extra to be happy. TOMATOKEFTEDES-FRIED SANTORINI BALLS

INGREDIENTS:
-3 TOMATOES
-1 ONION
-FLOUR
-WET AND SQUEEZED BREAD
- SPEARMINT
-OLIVE OIL
-SALT/PEPPER

PROCESSING:
-PEEL OFF THE TOMATOES AND CUT IN SMALL PIECES
-STRAIN/FLITRATE THEM   FORN30-60MIN IN ORDER TO BE MORE SOLID
-CUT THE  ONION TO LITTLE PIECES
-WE POOR ALL THE INGREDIENTS IN A BOWL AND ADD FLOUR INSIDE UNTIL IT BECOMES MUSH/PUREE-NOT VERY SOLID

ON A PAN WITH VERY HOT OLIVE OIL WE PLACE THE TOMATO BALLS AND COOK THEM BOTH SIDES TILL THEY BECOME REDISH.

SOUFFLE AU CHOCOLAT!

INGREDIENTS;
-3 EGGS
1/2 GLASS OF SUGAR
-1 GLASS OF FLOUR
-1 BAKING POWDER
-300GR BITTER CHOCOLATE
-1/2 BAR OF BUTTER


PROCESSING;
1. MIX EGGS WITH SUGAR
2.  ADD THE FLOUR AND BAKING POWDER
3. MELT THE CHOCOLATE AND BUTTER IN THE POT
4. PUT EVERYTHING TOGETHER

PRE HEAT OVEN AT 250 CELCIUS DEGREES.

IDEALLY, SERVE WITH A SCOOP OF VANILLA ICE CREAM!
